Jojoba Oil is a humectant ingredient. Humectant is a hygroscopic substance which helps retain moisture. Jojoba oil creates an occlusive film over the skin reducing transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and increasing water content in the skin. This helps improve the appearance on healthy skin and reduces symptoms of eczema. Jojoba oil may also help with preventing bacterial infections, acne and dandruff from forming.
